Morgan Craig-Broadwith, Executive M.B.A., M.Sc., Founder and Creative Director
A working mother since 2016, Morgan still hasn’t found the secret sauce to balancing mothering with work. With three amazing small humans, a side hustle, a few passion projects, and a full-time gig in downtown Calgary, Morgan likes to move. She’s committed to finding a way to connect and share the stories of other working mothers and cannot wait to see and share yours.
Morgan is an Albertan from Ontario, loves reading to her kids in accents, performing silly walks, and laughing. And without her husband, she wouldn’t be where she is today.
Angela Anderson-Blunt, M.A. Communications Director
Angela is a mom of two beautiful kids and has worked in public relations and communications for over 15 years. In 2017 she and her husband moved the family from the city to a gorgeous mountain town, and both are fortunate (and determined) enough to hold dream jobs in Marketing, practicing their crafts, and raising their babies in an idyllic bubble of nature and adventure. To be able to work at a fast paced comms job, and then step outside after work and go for a trail run up a mountain - it's what she lives for.
Amanda Langbroek, B.Mgt, Artistic Director
Amanda loves to create. Some days it’s play-doh creations with her two darling daughters, other days it’s water painting mountains or designing logos with her husband and business partner.
She has worked in Marketing & Events since 2007, and has recently partnered with her husband to start their own design agency. They took this leap to align with their goal of being more available to their kids as well as more creative and supportive to their Calgary community.
Amanda can’t wait to connect with working mothers, hear their stories and help them turn that story into art - to her that’s the good stuff!
Amanda Lapadat, Director, International Relations
Amanda Lapadat-Nordström joins The Working Mother Experience in an international capacity to help take our initiative abroad!
Born and raised outside Toronto, Canada, Amanda has lived abroad in Beijing, London, Buenos Aires, Sao Paolo and Berlin since 2010. Amanda currently resides in Malmö, Sweden with her Swedish husband and two kids (4, 7).

The back story.
Inspiration comes to us in many ways. Morgan’s inspiration came to her in the form of a cognitive download, while walking and listening to music (she remembers the place and regularly listens to the song). Colourful, abstract images swept through her mind, painting the highs and lows of being a working mother. The past few months have been a journey for Morgan, working to find the right medium to express this image.
As Morgan’s art has morphed, so too has her vision for what this is and could be. She quickly realized this isn’t a solo experience, but a collective one. So she emailed a group of friends asking them to paint what it means to be a working mother. Soon after, she realized the need for a community hub to help spread the word, connect with other working mothers, and build community. And, we think it’s working because here you are reading this story.
